Photographer's Note
The area that I have shown here is changing very rapidly. If one stands here and looks to the right, then there is a view of a LNG tank installation, the red and white 'barber's pole' flare stack can be seen for a long distance. The installation has caused much controversy over the past 3 years at least. Where I am standing has been blasted and bulldozed flat, and a new ferry terminal and goods terminal is still developing to the right of the photo. The cliffs continue to be blasted away, the stone being ground to rubble and dust, to make more room for factory units, storage areas for base pipes etc. and cargo containers. The port of Risa Vika in Tananger is set to become the largest terminal in Norway.
So what is going to change next? Maybe something more positive. A pedestrian bridge is being built connecting the mainland to the first island that you can see here, so soon it will be possible to escape the rubble and dust and wander there amidst the beautiful Nature and wild flowers of the Norwegian coast. The flat coastal islands are very beautiful. I shall keep you informed.
Photography note:
The clouds have been spectacular for the last few days, and the use of a polarising filter has accentuated the sky.

Hi Amelia,
This is not really the Norway I have seen this summer, no fjords or mountains here. But still a very pleasant view and an interesting note also. You have used the fine patterns of the clouds in a good way in your composition here!
Kind regards
Gunnar
