September night in Bergen, a photo from Hordaland, South

Photographer's Note

Both the spring and summer has been bad in Bergen this year, when it comes to weather. Last week was totally different, and I had to bring my camera and tripod to one of my favourite spots along the waterfront in Bergen. It was a beautiful night in september. Hope you like it.

This is a magical view, as the lights of the buildings curve and curl up into the hills, and the seafront emitting such a warm golden light which looks perfect with the blue sky. A beautiful city and photo

Truly beautiful and attractive night view of Bergen!
One can easily identify Bryggen and the Mount Floyen and I love that!
Sharpness, exposure, colors, horizontal format, chosen pov and composition are excellent, specially when we open the larger version of it!!!!!

A magical mix of lights in a blue-hour frame! I love the clarity. You make Bergen look like a town in a chidren's story.

Beautiful blue moment. Those white facades also have blue tint on this light. And there's good balance with city lights. Floibanen is well placed on the left edge.

Hello Erling,

The weather does make such a difference to photographs and to the attitude of the photographers! This weather was well worth waiting for. The water front, with its illuminated houses and water reflections, looks quite magical; but, then, we have the illuminated trails gently curving up the hillside, like firefly trails against a dark sky. It is stunning and a great advert for Bergen.

A magnificent blue hour shot of Bergen.
The dark forested mountains are an excellent background for the illuminated white houses on the slope and for the historic buildings along the waterfront.
The lights have beautiful long reflections in the sea.

Contrast to the dark mountains was superbly collected, and a very distinct sharpness over the picture space.

and yeah, great weather conditions here too.
the photo is very crisp and clear, were you using a tripod?

great to see the illumination of the buildings along the water front and the same lights extending downwards into the water.
