Photographer's Note

This picture was captured a Sunday in March. When I parked my car at the edge of the Nordnes peninsula, it started to rain. I concidered not to bring my camera, but changed my mind, thankfully.

This row of colourful hoses are located at the Nordnes peninsula in Bergen. I had to do some climbing to get this POV. Just outside the picture, to the left, there is a parking space for cars, something that I managed to avoid with this POV.

Walking through the backstreets of Bergen I was impressed with the bold colours of the houses. This picture has some excellent light and the colours are superb. First class clarity and a very nice perspective.

the angle you shot these colorful houses is very good and influences the whole composition. I like how the buildings contrast with each other and how the warm light brought up the rich tones of their facades.

Hi Erling - what did you have to climb onto the get this one? I was going to guess a window but from your note that seems less likely. Nice perspective showing the curve of the street nicely with the colorful houses to keep the attention. Beautiful northern light as well! Thanks.

good idea to climb a little bit to avoid the cars.So we get undisturbed view and can fully enjoy beauty of these houses.Also the perspective is well-thought and provides deep and detailed view of the architecture.And finally the color scheme and contrast-both features captured and brought out perfectly.

Otroligt vackra och välskötta hus. Det fina ljuset framhäver de mustiga färgerna fantastiskt fint. Med lite besvär fick du en perfekt skottvinkel. Det är verkligen värt lite möda att undvika en parkeringsplats!

Vackra hus och synnerligen vackra färger. Solskenet över husen får dem verkligen att stå ut mot den molniga bakgrunden. Här har du ju också fått med flera gatuskyltar, men jag har ännu inte lyckats hitta din exakta position på Googles gatubild. Men jag letar vidare... En mycket fin bild!

the lighting is just perfect, not too strong not too weak, just enough to softly illuminate those colors.
