Arrival in Bergen (VI), a photo from Hordaland, South

Photographer's Note

The two French Navy schooners, Belle Poule and Etoile, arriving together in Bergen at the end of the first 1993 Cutty Sark Tall Ships' Race.
The main post is the best of the two pictures, because it shows the way the twin ships are trained to sail close together, even for the harbour manoeuvers.
I post another one in workshop, which would have been nice because of the facades of Bryggen visible behind the pier, but which is unfortunatly not good in terms of sharpness.

Bonjour Emmanuel,
je vois que ce ciel bien bas et bien gris ne t'a pas empêché d'obtenir de très bonnes lumières et de savoir les exploiter.
Un endroit qui se prète bien à ces exhibitions de bateaux avec un décor fabuleux pour les entourer.

It is amazing how they blend together to give the idea of a catamaran with three masts. You are right about the WS. The city background is wonderful. Well done.

this is a very beautiful scene and a very well taken photo! I like the composition and the moment.
I really admire the quality of your scanning work! Excellent pp job, and even a better quality than many digital shots.
Concerning the blurry WS photo: well, we can't always get the "sharp" result :) But the captuer of the moment is most important!
