I was shooting the sunrise one cold December morning; the temperature was freezing minus 8 degrees Celsius. Suddenly I heard some birds warbling above my head. Lucky as I was I had my camera ready, and just in time I got this shot before they disappeared just as fast as they came.

My Lord...this is absolutely fabulous...beautifully composed and focussed with a crisp foreground, gentle colours with plenty (but not too much) subject material and well framed..this deserves to score an awful lot of points.

Am looking to come to Norway some time within the next two years, so will look through some of your work for ideas where to come and visit.

Charming work, really well done!

Fantastic colours a a very good composition. The birds are an important part here! Must have been a very good ice on this lake, as good as on the Bogstad Water! We passed here yesterday...

Hi Reidar,
great shot, nice contrast between smooth light of early morning on sky and water and the darker and freezing right side. The flying birds add a gentle movement to the picture without changing the calm of the place.

Hello Reidar!
Although you had not much light to capture all this beauty, you have truly succeeded!
It's such a fantastic picture, with a beautiful and colorful sky (with those birds flying, oh, man... that was a real luck to have them there to compose this image even better)! But then, we also have the reflection of the sky on the water surface in the left side of the picture! To end id up, this right side is simply magnificent with those aquatic plants, frozen by the coldest wheather over there at that moment!

fantastic landscape in the sunrise time. Good compo. I like the contrast between the left side, orange/warm and the right side blue-purple/cold.
