Photographer's Note
During shifting between two quays in Mo i Rana this vessel sank fully loaded with steelscrap. It was very dramatic, but the four crewmembers where rescued. One of them was floating on the top of the hatchcover. The vessel sank in only 5 minutes. My pictures where used on the national television same day.

Hola Tommy
Realmente es una captura excelente apesar de lo trágico de la escena.
El cielo acompaña mucho.

Well how lucky to be on the spot when this dramatic event happened. Good piece of photo journalism, no wonder they used it on telly.

Hi Tommy,
There's drama in this picture! Still you had patience to compose this one well. Normally I'd say that colour and contrast management is overdone, but it fits to this situation.

Wow, great shot Tommy. That menacing sky adds to the drama of the scene. Right place, right time, and the event is very well captured under the circumstances.
Well done
Best wishes, Vicky

Dramatisk bilde. Det gikk bra med mannskapet, men ikke med skipet som nå ligger på omlag 200 m dyp. Håper på flere bilder i samme serie...

Taking into consideration just visual aspects of this photo - it's breathtaking. Even the sky took on the same mood - it says 'be cautious!' to everyone. Besides the drama you remained cold blooded and took a stunning shot. Even the composition is marvellous!
Congratulations!
P.S. It's great everyone survived!
P.S.2 How did you manage to take this photo? Were you on a boat? How did it happen you were around with a camera?

I guess thats what you call an action shot then!
Even without the note the photo is superb, but the story behind it just makes more dramatic. Well done.

Very dramatic with this stormy sky. The light, colours are very nice and the composition is well done.
During my trip in the patagonians channels, I saw many rusty wrecks.

Hello Tommy, this is a fabulous picture, even if it is of disasterous circumstances. One of the best examples of right place, right time, that I have seen on TE. Well done.

I think this photo is well composed and a wonderful journalist picture but I don't really like the yellow and blue saturation. It's not enough natural...

Hi Tommy
A good photojournalistic shot of the shipwreck, & perfectly framed. Not too tight & not too wide angled & distant. Good sharpness & pov. Tfs!
