Photographer's Note

This one is made in Hovsund, in the VÅgan Kommune. This little fishing place can be found on the western side of the Island where Solvaer is situated. Driving to the south of the Lofoten on the E10, after the bridge, which leads to this island, you have to go left, to Vikten I thought.

The road becomes a sandroad with stones, then you can see a "Rorbu" plate. This leads to this place where you can find the Codfish dryplace of Hovsund. They hang the Codfish, on these stocks. Because of the cold wind and the temperture they become the well-knowned Stockfish.

I made my favourite kind of picture again, a extraordenary silhouette towards the sun in sunset time. The building on the left is the Rorbu, the fishermen winterhouse. We slept in this one, which was very back to the sixties!=)

I stitched 3 pictures into this one with PanoramaMaker 4. I know the right stitch did not really succeed, but wanted to give you an impression. Hope you like it!
