Photographer's Note

This is a picture of the Sint Maarten regatta. In the multi hull class there where only a few competitors. The 'Playstation' of Steve Fosset was this years attraction. He was in the same class as the small cat on the right. But he not finished first, because of his rating.

Every type of ship has his one rating, due his lenght, speed etc.

I like this picture very much because the different measurements. They where almost laying side-side by side. It was a couple of seconds before the start. You can see the foresail of the Playstation (i don't no how to say in english) with no wind.

Funny title Robbert.

It's amazing the diferent beetwen two boats. I try to imagine the cust of one and the other.Great note, too.

Je pense que je ne me lasserai jamais de ce type de photo.Le bleu de la mer est vraiment extraordinaire.
Belle photo remplie de détails intéressants comme ces hommes qui sont minuscules par rapport à la taille des bateaux.

I like your tir\tle, it really fits here. It could work for the man and the big sail, and also for the big saul and small sail. An amazing catamaran. Beautiful, Robbert.

Excellent perspective in this one, Robbert. Not only between the big catamaran in front and the smaller one behind, but also in terms of the scaling of people vs. sails. As usual, colors and composition are spot on. Well done, good choice of title.

Le titre est très bien choisi Robbert.
La lutte semble inégale en effet. L'image est imposante et le skipper ressemble à une fourmi à côté du catamaran.

A classic shot, Robbert. The colours are just perfect, as is your framing. It's brilliant the way you have the man on one side and the sail on the other. I never knew catamarans could be so large - so I have learnt something new today as well. Very well done.

What a great cat (catamaran), i had a go on one like this in Australia, and they fly along in the slightest breeze. Excellent colours in the ocean and light sky, the man on the deck gives much needed scale. Great shot.
