Photographer's Note

Another picture of race day at the Sint Maarten Regatta. I think ships where competing in the Spinnaker Class. There where rounding up for the start. You can see the startship in the far right. I was fasinated with the four sails in the same angle and the colors of the sails. I hope you like it.

A classic shot. I thought the boats were small until i saw the people sitting on the edge, what elegent ships. I like the very blue colour of the sea and the bright sails, great shot and well seen.

Dear Robbert, nice sky and water blue. Nice background with the coast too, but best are the silver sails. Have never seen those before, sun reflection effect ? Thanks for sharing.

Great shot, Robert. The sails are incredible - they look like solid silver knife blades - and the blue of the sea is also very beautiful. The sky seems a little too blurred, but doesn't distract me too much from the excellent sea and sails. Well done.

les couleurs sont très bonne notament au niveau des voiles , j'aime bien le rendu.

Peut être un peu trop d'eau sur le premier plan à mes yeux mais c'est vraiment un defaut minime.

The angle of sails is great detail. Very nice composition. This weekend I remenber you, because I went in a beach and saw alot of boat like this one. I try to photo but my with my camera I only see same point in the sea :)

Robbert dit zijn er vier op een rij. Deze zijn mooi maar ietsje minder scherp dan de vorige. Wat er zeer mooi aan is, dat alle bemanningsleden (een zestigtal) allemaal aan de zelfde kant zitten. De witte zeilen steken mooi af ten opzichte van de achtergrond.

Ik vind het aardig dat de kleuren van de zeilen hetzelfde zijn, dit geeft de foto gelijk een rustige uitstraling.

A very good one, Robbert, you must have thousands of this great series.
I like the color of the water, a very deep blue. It looks like you used a very low angle, as if you layed the camra on the water surface, and this gives another dimension to this pic. Sky is a bit noisy, but when every other thing is excellent. who cares?

Another great one, Robbert. It's really engaging to see all those boats in the same angle, and even the boat crews seem to be perfectly emulating each other's positions. The tilted boats and waves on the water add tremendously to the "action" feel of the picture. The deep blue of the water is amazing.

This is great. The contrasting hue of the blueness of the ocean and the water is interesting. The silver sails captured in the same angle are indeed well-timed and the distant mountain is a great addition. Good shot.
