Photographer's Note

Here's another shot from my Erasmusseries with photos of de Erasmusbrug in Rotterdam, Zuid-Holland.

Please, click on the links to see three other pictures of this bridge and to read information about it.

The strings of the Harp

It took this picture from a boulevard called Boompjes ("Little Trees"). The river is de Nieuw Maas and on the other side of de Maas, there's the neighbourhood called De Kop van Zuid. This area is connected to the centre of the city by de Erasmusbrug.
The building left to the bridge is the KPN-Telecom building. This building was designed by Renzo Piano (who also designed this building) and was completed in 2001. The side of this building that faces the city and the bridge is tilted.
I didn't recognize the tower in the middle, maybe it's the buidling called Montevideo, that is still under construction, but maybe anyone can tell me if I'm right about this.
The tower on the right is the World Port Center (WPC), which is completed in 2001, 124 meter high and has 32 floors.

I took the picture around lunchtime on a very bright day. The sun was exactly behind the left post.
I only resized the picture.

Hope you like it.
