Photographer's Note
The houses of Robevci and Urania are the most representative examples of Ohrid architecture. The architecture of Ohrid is unique and it differs from the one in other towns in Macedonia, because of the specific terrain, climate and tight building space (the christian quarter was inside the fortress and even though the population grew the Turks didn't allow building outside the fortress). So the architecture became very dynamic and dramatic in the inside and on the outside.

Very beautiful sample of the architecture that dominated Balkans, during the Turkish rule. You can find similar buildings in most of the towns at Greek Macedonia and Thrace and at Bulgaria. Nice repetition of the windows, interesting lines and geometry!(Nice to see things that unite us ;) )
