Photographer's Note

Smoke rising from Kaunas Thermal Power Plant. The Power plant was constructed in 1972 near Kaunas. It produces electricity by burning natural gas, as well as provides hot water for large part of Kaunas.
During summer smoke rising from power plant is hardly visible, but now it's is very cold ( it was about -14 degrees C while I was taking this photo ) so smoke is visible from very far away, especially when the sky is clear. This photo was taken from about 1200m away from the power plant.
Photo settings: lens zoomed to 17mm, ISO400, AV mode, +0.3EV exposure compensation, mirror lockup.
Converted from RAW with the following settings: color temperature 2750K, exposure +0.35, shadows 4, brightness 72, contrast +58, saturation +5
