Photographer's Note
The village of Vernazza is the prettiest of the five communes in Cinque Terre. The old church of Santa Margherita d' Antiochia right by the beach (left side of photo), sections of the old Genoese fortifications that dates back to 1182 (on right side of photo)still stands but is now converted into an hotel, and the colorful houses behind rocky cliffs give charm and history to the place. At the center of the photo, behind the water breakers is the small beach.

Great shot of this beautiful village! The photo captures the verticality of the place, with the buildings rising one on top of the other until you get to the hills. Great colour too. Well done!

Hello Andre,
This is a very clever shot. I like how you show us the two different 'historical' sides of Vernazza in the one composition.
I also like your point of view here - placing us at the same level as the people standing on the jetty.
Best regards,
Andrew
