Taken in Italy in August of 2003 in Valley Chisone in a country of 800 inhabitants where a child set out homeward her.
The original photo has suffered a process of workmanship in phase of press.

Très belle photo, toujours dans l'esprit des précédentes. Pour ma part, je pense que le N&B aurait intensifié le moment. Mais en tout cas, cette couleurs sépia donne très bien.

Wow again a beautiful moody shot! I can see how lonely the boy is. Great atmosphere of mountains, grassland and espacially a small hut far away. Very well done. You're skillful as well. Hope to see more!

WOW! A beautiful picture and I like the "special effects" a lot. They really add to this photo. Feels like a scene from a movie or something. (The first that got on my mind was a scene from "Gladiator")

This is very very uniquely beautiful. I like the effect of the orange tone and the brightness of certain part. It is a work of art. The boy in the picture added a touch of humanity in this already heartwarming picture. Great shot!

Wow, surreal colors. The way the boy stands, he looks worried as he looks to what is at the end of the road. I love the light on the maze on the right side of the road.

At first glance the photo looks 3D'ish. Some nice post-processing work done here. Very nice tones among all the elements in the photo. The boy makes the photo interesting because he seems to be curious as to what lies ahead in the distance.

its a very powerful setting. It looks like it was taken in the early 1900's in the south of france, IMO. lovely throughout.

To me, this is great art in photography, because you have the subject, the setting and the atmosphere. It's leading us beyond reality, to a sort of fairy tale dream. Very well post processed, as a painter would imagine such a scene. Beautiful, Riba!

Fantastic picture. The original composition combined with the superb post-photo work have really made this feel like a shot from a superb art film. One of the best heavily manipulated images I have seen on TE. Your note might be more helpful, though, if you explained what you saw in the original image that convinced you to put in this time, why you took this approach, etc. Thanks!

Wow riba, this is a very artistic shot, every now and then I come across a photo on TE with a very special quality, something that sets it out from the rest, evern the VERY good photos. This is one of those shots.

I really dont know how this result was achieved in post processing but I would LOVE to know more, superb colours, the mood created is amazing!
