Photographer's Note

Hello Everyone,

Today, a photograph from Sorrento, the view from our hotel balcony.

I really liked Sorrento. The Sorrento Coast seemed like the perfect place for a less overcrowded experience of Italy than we had experienced in Rome. It was typically laid back, pretty houses, good food and wine and with the awesome icon of Vesuvius, looming across the bay.

Because of the predominance of narrow streets, many are one way and plenty are pedestrian only.

The old town was friendly and cheerful with plenty to engage visiting tourists.

I will add a workshop showing one of the narrow, pedestrianised streets.

Thank you for your interest, Bev :-)
