La giornata era troppo bella per stare in casa, meglio approfittarne per farsi un bel giro e fare qualche foto e così ho fatto.

Hello Carlo,
This is an excellent photo to start this year. It's a very well composed view of the wooden poles with some birds sitting on them and many more nearby. The water is calm and the sky is beautifully reflected. This scenery looks as fresh and untouched as the new year. Let's just hope it's not the calm before the storm.

Marvellous repetition of the pylons that once supported the pier decking. Only the seagulls have access now. Nice reflections, good sharpness and a natural looking bg devoid of highrise buildings and with forested slopes. Tfs!

What a beautiful scene!
It's's a great introduction to the New Year!
The setting is excellent but the wooden posts, complete with perched birds, grab the attention, emphasising the beauty of the composition.

What a beautiful start to the new year! The water was so calm it reflected the many poles and the white clouds so beautifully. The layered view of the land in the distance is wonderful too in this soft light. Very well done. Happy New Year!

Ciao caro Carluccio, How lucky you were on the first day of the new year. You had a wonderful sunny day and you could go to the marvelous lake that I know and that has a special place in my memory. Magnificent reflections of the sky and poles. was the lake frozen? Charming seagulls. Un bel giro :).

A picturesque view where the poles leading diagonally into the sea which works really well giving both drama and depth to the image. Still mirror reflections from the sky creates a new dimension as strong points too. The overall effect is very pleasing to the eye. Thumb up, Congrats

C'est la première de l'année et elle est vraiment très belle même si elle est un petit peu nostalgique. Le ciel est de toute beauté et les reflets dans la mer sont encore plus beaux.

wow, this is so beautiful!
Really great first day of the new year!
Everything is perfect here.
It starts from the perfect foreground with the water surface so smooth it provided a great reflection and it reflects both the pales and the wonderful sky.
The hills on the horizon are attractive as well and finally the sky lovely decorated with clouds as if painted by a painter.
Amazing light and colors.

How wise not to stay at home on a glorious day like this! Much better to get out and about with your camera and catch a beautiful scene like this!

This is a very fine composition, the lines of old wooden posts leading the eye perfectly into the scene. The light is glorious, the colours rich and the reflections on the calm water are divine.

Perfect exposure and exquisite details and sharpness.
