San Miniato al Monte is a basilica in Florence, standing atop one of the highest points in the city. It has been described as one of the finest Romanesque structures in Tuscany and one of the most scenic churches in Italy. There is an adjoining Olivetan monastery, seen to the right of the basilica when ascending the stairs.

Gorgeous view of the front façade of the basilica from this low viewpoint. You very nicely included the weather-beaten steps in the foreground, the contrast with the patterns of the church is perfect.

Hello Daniel,
The well worn steps supply a good lead-line and create depth and perspective for the composition. I like the symmetrical framing and the excellent rendering of the decorative details on the façade of the basilica. Very good colour contrasts.

quel effet ces escaiers de pierre ancienne et surgi ce monastre les escaliers se fodent avec le rendu sur la facade du onastère avec ce blanc et ces arches ces décoraitons prononcées quei donen du constraste à la facade sueprbe iage.

Bonjour Daniel,

Un cadrage classique mais toujours très efficace.On reconnait bien les couleurs de Florence avec le marbre vert et blanc typique de la région. Belle symétrie avec un ciel parfait en arrière plan.

Very recongizably Firenze, Daniel, but the low pov with the steps in the front adds a bit of difference. I like the result!

Hello Daniel, This church in Florence is my favorite there. Nice composition with the stairs leading to it. Good symmetry. The interior is also fantastic.
