black panties at burano, a photo from Venice, Veneto

Photographer's Note

Burano Island , is a charming place to visit when in Venice. It has canals, and very colorful houses, and although I was there in winter, there were plenty of visitors who came for the day. Plenty of photographers too. I was one of them, and while strolling in it's back streets I found this almost absract and monochrome patterns.

very abstract and nice tones, just 2 tones, very strong and nice. i would prefer a wider crop though, other than that, your photo brought a smile to my face:)

Isn't it amazing how everyday people (like the person who lives in the blue building) create art without them knowing it? You came along, saw this beautiful composition and shot a picture of it. Simply gorgeous simplicity! :=)

Yes Izzet, monochrome patterns, but not so abstract :-). Wonderfully caught, excellent compo, I like it a lot. Perfect play of colours and shapes here, you have the eye.

What a photograph. A simpel but great compositon. Almost incrediable to have these black pants towards that colourful wall and the small window contributes to the greatness of the compositon. Well seen.

Like all my predecessors.. I like it a lot! The repetitive black in the window, and the panties, are great. Especially with the bright blue background.
Simple, but very stylish! (although the stockings are at least 50 years out of date ;))

Oh I LOVE this! The washing line alone is cool, but the extra graphic interest of the black rectangular window makes it an awesome photo.

This surely is a very original composition! Above the choise of subject which is very funny and lively the chromatic choice is exceptional as it is very hard to find such contrast and realize a "black and blue" photo!
