Photographer's Note

If it weren't for the clothes and perhaps a motor launch or two,I am sure that this view overlooking one of the canals in Venice is unchanged.

A grey day in Venice which I feel didn't detract from the beautiful colours of the buildings.

This scene reminds me of the paintings of Giovanni Antonio Canal, better known as Canaletto. An Italian painter of landscapes and Venice.

Much of his early work was painted 'from nature' differing from the customary practice of the time, which was painting in a studio.

Thanks for looking.
