Photographer's Note

Burano village, on the island of Burano, probably the most beautiful Venice's satellite. The island is famous for its colored houses. People say sailors used to paint their houses in order to make them seen from far in the sea.

Now each family is proud to live in a house of color different than the neighbor's. Some of the houses bear two or more colors (probably due to mariages), and there are even some one or two that look as painter's palettes with every possible color, including the most bright and violent ones.
