Photographer's Note

To thirty kilometers from Marine Mass, exceeded the mines of Boccheggiano, by now in province of Siena, beyond a hill, in an immense plain the ruderi dell'Abbazia Cistercense di San Galgano emerge solemn and majestic. Dell'imponente building, that a fascination impossible emanates to describe, remains only the external structure; the church, by now completely deprives of the cover, has for roof stars. L'Abbazia, whose construction began in 1224, caught up the maximum splendor in XIII the century, in the '400 began the forfeiture, in '500 the l'inarrestabile ruin: in 1577 it was renewed but from 1722 it ruined definitively. Today its fascination is such that accommodates also concerts of classic music. Evocative, in spring, l'interno of the church that has for pavement a mantle of white women daisies. To see, in the pressed ones, "La Sword in the Roccia", all'interno of the church of Montesiepi.
