Photographer's Note

Church of Sant'Agostino - Arezzo
It is located on the top of the square of the same name.
It is surmounted by an imposing bell tower. The building was built in the thirteenth century, then halved and completely restored between 1766 and 1776, designed by the Ferrarese Filippo Giustini. In the reconstruction of 1700 the façade has not undergone great transformations: built in stones conce, has a rose window and is flanked by a quadrangular bell tower of the fifteenth century. The interior is adorned with Baroque-style decorations, thanks to the 18th century reconstruction. The stucco decoration is by Francesco and Giuliano Rusca and Carlo Sproni, of Milanese origins. Inside is a painting by Bernardino Santini depicting S. Agostino and S. Monica, painted in the eighteenth century, as well as the wooden choir carved by Ludovico Paci in 1771.
