Bagheria, a photo from Palermo, Sicily

Il comune di Bagheria è il secondo più popolato della provincia di Palermo e si trova tra il golfo di Palermo stesso e quello di Termini Imerese.

Il suo nome richiama ad antichissime origini che risalgono fino ai Fenici. Nel secolo XVIII divenne meta preferita per l’aristocrazia palermitana alla ricerca di un luogo dove ripararsi dalla calura estiva. Per cui sono le ville i monumenti più noti di Bagheria a partire da Villa Butera, passando per Villa Cattolica fino ad arrivare alla particolarissima Villa Palagonia detta anche “dei Mostri” per le sue famose statue.

Bagheria offre ai turisti numerose località balneari di grande prestigio affaccianti sul Mar Tirreno dove regna incontrastata la natura in tutta la sua meraviglia. Aspra possiede numerose spiagge sabbiose ma anche calette rocciose e riservate, ma non dimentichiamo anche Capo Mongerbino, Capo Zafferano e Arco Azzurro, un meraviglioso arco di roccia situato a Nord della città.

nel 2016 sono stato a Bagheria, ma non ho visto questo bel punto di vista, sono andato appositamente a vedere Villa Palagonia e sono ripartito....peccato, il tempo è sempre troppo poco.

Hello Maurizio,

I like the subtle warm cold color contrast between the yellow honey colored village buildings and the blue sea and sky. The beach adds perspective and its reversed 'c' shape nicely guides the eye from fg to bg. The rocky hill provides a nice backdrop and enhances the depth and layering. Tfs!

A delightful seascape from Sicily. Very nicely composed with pleasant soft lights and colours. The incoming waves give the composition a sense of dynamism as well as supplying a lead into the wider scene.

This is a very beautiful scene and has been photographed from a fine angle, to accentuate the beauty.
The incoming waves give an impression of movement, whilst the low sun is creating a fine, golden illumination on the buildings. The tall cliffs are the strong backstop!

At first glance, thought this was Cefalu in Sicilia. Than looked again and as it looks very similar place.
The picture space well divided from sea, sky mountain and coastal old town.
