Photographer's Note

Reflections of the bell tower of Bergamo Alta in the police car. A view of the tower in the WS. The civic tower, known by the name of Campanone, is a historical monument of the city of Bergamo. Initially 37 meters high, it was subjected to small but continuous expansion interventions already in the Middle Ages, which allowed it to reach the current 56 meters in height, making it the tallest tower in the city.
From the top you can enjoy a view of both the upper town and the lower town, the surrounding plain, as well as the mountainous offshoots of the Orobie Prealps. Its typically medieval features also make it one of the main monuments of the city, so much so that it is clearly visible in the sky-line of the upper city.

La torre civica, conosciuta con il nome di Campanone, è un monumento storico della città di Bergamo. Inizialmente alta 37 metri, fu sottoposta a piccoli ma continui interventi di ampliamento già in età medievale, che le permisero di raggiungere gli attuali 56 metri di altezza che la rendono la torre più alta della città.
Dalla sommità si può godere di un panorama sia sulla città alta che sulla città bassa, la pianura circostante, nonché le propaggini montuose delle Prealpi Orobie. Le sue caratteristiche tipicamente medioevali la rendono inoltre uno dei monumenti principali della città, tanto da essere ben visibile nello sky-line di città alta.

Bonsoir Luciano,

La composition est originale. Tu as eu la bonne idée d'utiliser le parebrise pour afficher le reflet. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails du reflet de la tour. L'image est claire et nette. Bonne soirée.

Hello Luciano,
I also rotated your main photo 90° to the right to see what result that would give.
That results in a very strangely placed police siren :)
The sunlit tower and the blue sky provide a nice contrast where the sky seems to be an integral part of the police car.

PS. You haven't heard of Lüleburgazspor because the play in the Amateur League. If they become the champions in that league, they can advance to the 3rd League, then second, then first and finally the Super League. If they win the Super League (or get pretty high), then they can compete in the various European leagues. Then you would hear about them. You see, they have a long way to go.

Bien observé et composé ce cadrage original, le reflet est tellement clair qu'à première vue on s'interroge pour bien comprendre cette composition photo. Excellent rendu, teintes et luminosité, bonne idée.

Hello Luciano,
I see the police car, but without the note and the WS I would have found it difficult to see the tower. With all respect I wouldn't call this one of your best ever photos, but it's original and catchy and an almost abstract composition. It makes me smile.

Sandstone tower on bright daylight makes a great contrast with blue details of the police car. Close view of the blue flash light of police brought to my mind the opening scene of the movie "The Naked Gun".

A very original idea how to photograph what must me a popular subject for images in Bergamo. It worked really well, it's intriguing and the colours are beautiful, the combination of blue and yellow is just great. The angle is also unusual and of course it being a police car adds yet another dimension to the photo! In some countries you might have been arrested for pointing your lens at this "view". :-)

This is wonderfully artistic!
The close crop, with the colours and the shapes is excellent. Even without the reflection, it would have appealed to me but with the reflection, too ... excellent!
(It was interesting to see the reality of the tower as a w/s)

It's always fun to capture something old and something more modern together. The windshield of this police car made a nice mirror to reflect the bell tower. There are also some less colorful reflection on top of the car.

Hello Luciano, an excellent observation where the ochre tones of the reflected bell tower really stand out against the blue of the car.
