Photographer's Note

When you get out of the train station in Vernazza you find yourself in a downhill alley leading to the harbour: it’s the main street of Vernazza, the one where all the shops, restaurants and bar are. Usually is a very busy street even if no cars are allowed to pass. Besides the many tourists you’ll be able to see how the local people live, doing their daily activities in a cheerful mood.
In the photo you can see the last part of this street just before it enters into the small square in front of the harbour. Being only nine o’clock in the morning I found it almost empty: the crowds of tourists which swarm it daily were not yet arrived.
