Photographer's Note
I have presented here already three photographs of Lough Tay, which we sometimes call Guinness Lake because it belongs to Guinness Estate and resembles a pint of Irish dark nectar with the white layer of beach resembling the characteristic foam on the Guinness pint.
I was not quite happy with one of the uploads (to see it click the Original Version in the right panel) and always wanted to make it better. One day I had a chance indeed to try again.
I have tried to pick almost same POV and similar composition.
There are two major differences:
1. My processing skills surely improved. Two tricks I learned since that time is to always check a photo before upload for the contrast and noise. Increase the contrast and filter out the noise. It makes enormous difference.
2. The two photos were taken several months from each other, the original one in March (practically a winter) and the new one in July (summer). Therefore they also have very different color tones. From brown dominating the first one to green predominant in the new upload.
What is always the same all year round is the Irish weather: windy and cloudy :)

Hi Mariusz
Really gorgeous shot of this lake view which is so spectacular with details so crispy throughout.
Excellent pov with low horizon, emphasizing more on the foreground details and the lake is well placed.
Closeness to big rocks creates depth and perspective that give sense of distance to the far bg. Beautiful cool colors and good contrast and the dramatic clouds are terrific. An awesome image of high quality my friend, TFS

Dit is echt een mooie foto!
Ik vind de schaduwen mooi van de wolken, in combinatie met die frisse kleuren.

Hello Mariusz ,
This is not really a RP , because this is not the same picture :) The same beautiful place , of course , but a so much better picture , no doubt . Rocks in the FG are superb . May be it would be better if they were not so centered , but I suppose that it is difficult to frame differently .

Hi Mariusz. Wonderful landscape. I like how you composed the picture and did the processing (excellent contrast lol). Looks like the cratermouth of a volcano.

Hi Mariusz
Very nice landscape shot, quite breathtaking. I like the composition with the stones in front, and the shadows of clouds on the mountains' sides. The clouds look good - very well defined - but maybe just a bit over-processed! I love the shine on the surface of the lake, and the sharpness of all the details. Fine work!

Dear Mariusz
I prefer this version, softer and look more natural. The reflections of the sky in the lake in this version give a beautiful color to any photo. Beautiful landscape photographed from an excellent POV

Hello Mariusz,
The excellent composition and the highest photographic qualities of your new picture was not a surprise for me, but I was surprised with the fact from the note, that you had increased the contrast here. I always fight against too much contrast in my shots, at least in those where there is bright sunlight. I will try to increase contrast. Maybe in that case my shots will be so good as yours.
Best regards,
Sergiy

Hi Mariusz, it's amazing how different the photos can be with the lapse of time and increase in learning. A very noticeable difference. I like how the rocks in the FG provide a great anchor for the rest of the image. The lough indeed looks like you could take a sip of Guinness from it. I was here last in 1995, it is still as beautiful as ever and your photo does it justice. TFS and I hope you have a good weekend, Lisa

I like a lot this photo, both for the beauty of this landscape and your excellent work of PP which highlighted the lovely clouds and the textures of the stones, grass and bushes. The composition is perfect in my view conveying a strong sense of tridimensionality. Very fine colours too.
I understand your wish to take this deserving lake in a better way, I often do the same, returning in the same place until I get the wished result.

Witaj Mariusz,
This presentation of this place is excellent. The two rocks in the FG give a greta depht to the image. Superb natural framing to the lake. Nice natural and tenders colors under a beautiful cloudy sky.

Hello mariusz,
It is again a well composed and well post processed shot. The sky is wonderfull thanks to an ND grad filter and the wole picture is full of details. I also liked your description since I also feel some huge differences regarding the pics I am posting now on TE (old ws) and the current ws I perform. For your info, check one day the website of Juza (juzaphoto). It is full of good & easy tricks for postprocesssing and uploading on internet.

dear Mariusz,
a beautiful picture of wonderful natural lake in splendid surrounding natural view,
this clear light with partial cloud shadow shows us whole dramatic scene very well,
the surface of fine rippled water and green field look quite like silver objects,
mountains are so mild and its scale is amazingly contrasted fore big rocks,
the air and the ambience of all are superb,
thank you for your excellent shot,

Hi M,
I was up in the Sierra just this last weekend and there are many small lakse like this up there and mountain backdrop, but the air and humidity was so bad and the light was strong the picture didn't come out too well, but I might post one or two later anyway.
This one is beautiful, I particularly like the foreground rocks, looks like a perfect picnic spot for me over looking the lake.

Hi Mariusz
Ahhh....back to Ireland!
this is the type of photo we think about when your name pops up...funny how we have these stylistic perceptions of people - what do people think about me? :)
everything looks fantastic in sharpness, clarity and depth.
the color rendoring is superb, with fine fine lighting/exposure.
my only critique would have been to have the grass seperating the rock at the very bottom of the frame.
But really...thats nit picking!
great work here
Cheers

Hello Mariusz
Miss the colour of heather which was there in your earlier shot! But for sure the play of light is better here, especially on the lighter greens, creating a good contrast with the dark water of the lake. The use of the FG stones was a good idea to create fine depth!

Beautifully shaped lake between the rocky terrain. POV from a higher point gave the opportunity to look at the surrounding wild and no inhabited area.
Fine tones under mild light, which marvelously handled.
