Photographer's Note

Here is an other picture of Ortygshöfn bay in the Patreksfjörður fjord in the Western Fjords, Iceland. This is the same bay I showed you on my previous picture.

This photo is a HDR made of three pictures I took using bracketing. This is the first time I use this technics. I am not a fan of some HDR pictures you can see on the web, but when you use it the right way it is an excellent tool when the dynamics of image sensors is not big enough.

Superbe paysage avec cette belle profondeur d'image, bon effet avec cette diagonale qui accentue l'effet de perspective, la lumière et ses contrastes sont bien gérées.

Bonjour Olivier,

Le HDR, une technique que je n'ai pas encore utilisée, plutôt réfractaire comme toi à ces traitements excessifs qu'on rencontre trop souvent et qui donnent des images n'ayant rien de réaliste.
Ici, tu as superbement utilisé cette technique : on ne le remarque pas. Cela t'a permis d'avoir un premier plan détaillé qui se marie bien avec le fond au soleil.
Bel endroit, bien sauvage.

well, as a fan of HDR, and from someone who uses HDR alot, I can honestly say this looks very good.
there are no burned out areas, the blue sky isn't patchy either.

the landscape itself is breath taking, love the various shapes and contours. easy 10 out of 10 from me.
