Photographer's Note

The Látrabjarg cliffs,14 kilometres long, up to 440 metres high, are the most western point of Iceland and so on of Europe (excluding Azores). These cliffs are a paradise for sea birds. They host in particular the most important colony of puffins in the world. Also called "sea parrots" these birds are great for photography : they are very cute, they have funny attitudes and they are very easy to approach, sometimes less than one metre ! Our accodomdation was not far from these cliffs, so we've been twice there an could photograph them with a wonderful golden light. One of the greatest moment of our trip in Iceland !

Nice close-up shot of this puffin; they have always seem very cute to me. Wonderful details in this shot, especially the colours on its beak. The overall golden tone is lovely.

Bonjour Olivier,

Quelle belle prise de vue ! La mise au point est faite sur l'oeil du macareux, la lumière dorée donne une atmosphère et l'excellente gestion de la profondeur de champ permet de bien détacher l'oiseau de son environnement.
