Photographer's Note

Field road in Reykjavik. Shot taken at night, ca. 00:30 past midnight when its still bright in Reykjavik in the summer. The evaporating scents from plants and the humid air were fantastic after the rain. I took a biking tour and then walked up the hill this road to take a few night shots, as the night panorama from the hill was also breathtaking. The blue flowers are lupins, which are so abundant in Iceland and grow nearly everywhere.

The nights are very short in Reykjavik now: sun sets at 23:48 (as for June), just minutes before midnight and it rises at 03:07, just after three hours...and even these 3 hours of the nighttime are quite bright as you see...
