Photographer's Note

After a night in Reykholt we continue our route to the Western Fjords area. We leave the Road 1 near Bifröst in Nordurárdalur valley to drive on the F60 road and a pass to Búðardalur, the gateway to the fjords. The pass passes by Baula mountain. This mountain is said to be one of the most beautiful of Iceland. Probably because it is made of rhyolite and therefore catches the light so it looks like the mountain is always sunny (which is totally wrong, don't forget we are in Iceland !). I found that the small canyon and waterfall made a nice foreground for the composition.
