Photographer's Note

This is the third picture of a series of seven or eight I rattled off at Geysir, Iceland. These pictures together are my favorite piece of my own, because I did them with a simple point and shoot camera and no tripod...they each turned out surprisingly clear. This one is one of my two favorites from the series because it captures the geyser at its initial moment of eruption. The entire eruption takes only seconds and goes several stories into the air, so it would take a lot of tries for me to capture this without cutting off the top of the spout. Maybe next time!
