WOW Frederik, this one is even sharper than your last one, fantastic colours. The land seems almost surreal due the long exposure.

I would like to know at what time of the day this picture was taken because it amazes me how the sky is not dark but with dark blues and even magenta colours. The picture is a very good one, and even better with the aurora refelcted on the water --that is a great idea to bring more drama to the image.
Fantastic work.

That's really splendid !
you propose a picture of what I'm dreaming too see when I will go back in Iceland. How lucky you are !
I like very much the composition with the city and this white mountain.
One critique : may be, I would have cut a little part of the dark sky above the aurora.

Frederik, the exposure is simply perfect.
You kept good details of the mountain and aurora too and waited the right time to have this phenomenon over the mountain.
I love this shot!

One of the clearest shots of northern lights I've ever seen. If only the picture was a little bit wider, to capture the whole mountain - I suppose you didn't have a wider lens. Very interesting picture anyway. Thanks for sharing.

I was in Iceland recently, but I couldn't see the northern lights, can you tell me under what conditions will they be likely to appear? and how did you capture the reflection of the lights? Thx
Anyway, i like the sharp colours and the dark sky with stars at the background.=D

Another wonderful shot! It's great how you've got the green reflection in the sea, the distant city lights, stars, and enough light to retain details in the snow-covered mountains off in the distance. You got the exposure and framing spot on for this one. Well done!

Hi Fredrik
I was lucky once to see the Northern Lights in Norway but not to this extent as they were unusually early and unusually far south. Your shot is so impressive the way they swirl around and the mysterious green colour and it's reflection on the see. They contrast well with the cold snowy land. I like the little dots of lights and stars too.

Nikki

Hi Fredrik,
First, wonderful photo! Congrats!
I'm surprised of the result of a 30 seconds exposition since I remember some videos where the aurora borealis were moving quickly...
TFS that great photo,

Fantastic shot!. I like how the mountains looks with the very green aurora on top of it. There is a strange light effect due to the exposure you've used ( I suppose ;) )
Great work
