Purple Heron, a photo from Heves, East

Photographer's Note

Purple heron (Ardea purpurea). I took it yesterday at Lake Tisza and I was very happy since it is not that common in my country. We are a bit up North for their taste and I haven't seen one in the last ten years.

A good capture, for you and for the heron who was on its way to enjoy its take-away meal. A frog? It's a very sharp photo with bright colours and a nice green frame at the bottom.

We can't see where the purple in its name came from but it is a very timely perfect photo of it and its dinner.
