Photographer's Note

This view up the Danube was taken on a very cold day in December, beautiful smooth water & a lovely sky, I was lucky, The Parliament Building to the right of frame is one of the most stuning buildings I've ever seen & very photogenic.

yes it is very photogenic. i dont know from where you managed to capture this view, but its a beautiful low light picture.

Well, this one was certainly worth the wait! Beautiful composition, fabulous colours and excellent detail and sharpness. Lovely reflections on the calm waters of the blue Danube too.

I can understand why you are attracted to the beautiful parliament building on the right - do you have other, closer-up, pictures of it too?

First, happy New Year!! Original photo of the famous parliamnet in Budapest. The Danube looks very big here and with the smooth surface it is a perfect mirror. Nice colours, beautiful reflections. But it seems to me you wanted to go to Brazil?

Il est vraiment bleu le Danube. Du mois sous cette belle lumière. Il est large aussi et ton point de vue parfait nous le montre bien. Des beaux bâtiments autour biens mis en valeur sous cette belle lumière.

A beautiful scene indeed. I love the lighting and colours. The compostion is excellent as well. I notice though that details could have been better. I looks like the camera did not focus on the parliament building or perhaps the lighting was too weak. Nevertheless, it is still a really great photo. TFS and have nice weekend!

Yes, dear Wilson, you're right, the building of the Hungarian Parliament on the Pest side is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful palaces in Hungary, especially when it is nicely reflected on the Danube as in your beautiful picture. Congratulations!

Hi Wilson.
An interesting viewpoint for the famous parliament, boldly placed on the extreme edge of the photo. It's often photographed from the heights on the opposite side of the river. I like the gentle light highlighting the low bridge and the blue tones in this one.
