Stargate?, a photo from Ioannina, Epirus

Photographer's Note

This is another one of the many stone bridges of the region of Zagori and it is called Kamper Aga (or Kamperaga) bridge. Behind you can see the new bridge. It is located in eastern Zagori, between the villages of Potamia and Miliotades. If you want to find it you have to turn left almost halfway going from Ioannina to Metsovo, taking the road that leads to Greveniti and Vovousa.

Two of my friends here in TE, "Josepmarin" and "Henryk Bilor", have mentioned that this photo reminded them of a movie called "Stargate", so I decided to put this title in my new upload, putting a question mark, because I haven't seen the movie.

Hi Hercules. Your bridges are very picturesque and have an aura of Romanticism about them. I can picture Byron or some intrepid Englishman roughing it in this area which in those days was the Near East. Great composition and light. Regards and a happy and rewarding 2007.Klaudio.

Adoro el cine de Roland Emmerich: Stargate, Indepence Day, Universal Soldier, Godzilla o El patriota.

Aunque eso sí, todavía no he acabado de ver Stargate porque me he dormido las tres veces que he intentado verla (en cuanto a las demás son grandes aportaciones al género de la comedia).

Kalimera Hercules.

Después de este irónico comienzo gracias a Stargate (la banda sonora de David Arnold, eso sí, es muy buena), déjame decirte que si bien es una lástima ver como el cielo aparece blanco, quemado, el conjunto de la foto es muy atractivo con una composición muy compensado.

Me gusta la foto. Pero me gusto mucho más el lugar.

Pues yo si he visto Stargate y soy un fan bastante ácérrimo tanto de la serie como de la peli y si bueno, tiene un cierto aire sobretodo cuando en la peli aparecen representaciones de la puerta.

Sobre la foto, una pena el cielo. Qué lástima!. Ahh, el WS está muy bien.

très bien vu ce cliché :) ce week-end en France il y a une chaîne qui a diffusée l'intégralité des épisodes. Le cadrage est soigné et le reflet juste comme il faut.

ésta no me recuerda tanto a Stargate, porque el arco y su reflejo no forman un círculo limpio y completo como en la foto anterior. Pero es una composición con buena geometría y el puente del primer plano actúa como una ventana para ver el otro puente más moderno que hay detrás suyo.
Bien vista.

Η ταινία είναι από τις καλές για το είδος της,και θα συμφωνήσω με τον τίτλο,όντως το γεφύρι μαζί με την αντανάκλαση δημιουργούν μια "αστροπύλη" προς το παρελθόν παρά προς ένεν παράλληλο κόσμο όπως γίνεται στην ταινία!

Οι "κυκλοι" στη μεση της συνθεσης σου εχουν την τιμητικη τους στις τελευταιες σου φωτογραφιες!Και εδω λειτουργει πολυ ωραια η αντανακλαση της γεφυρας καθως και η αντιθεση με την πιο σκοτεινη γεφυρα δινει μια αλλη αισθηση για ολη την σκηνη!Εξαιρετικη δουλεια,πετυχημενος τιτλος!

εξαιρετική η απεικόνηση της γέφυρας στα σχεδόν ακίνητα νερά.Πάρα πολύ ωραία τα γήινα χρώματα της παλιάς γέφυρας που κάνει αντίθεση με το κίτρινο χρώμα της καινούργιας.Εξαιρετική δουλειά.

I was actually looking for one specific bridge that I remember from my trip to Zagoria, but I wasn't aware there were so many... this is very special with the big "eye" and then two "eyes" within it... lovely autumn colors too... thanks for sharing, Daniel
