Photographer's Note

This specific spot of ancient Olympia is my favorite.
On the left side of the road lies the Olympic stadium and the hill standing in the middle, is the famous Kronion Hill, which was completely devastated during the fires of Summer 2007.
The hill was fully covered by a rare species of pine trees.
The trees were completely burnt out by the fire, but as you can see the whole area was rapidly replanted after the fire. (Something, that didnít happen for the rest of Ilia Prefecture, which suffered a major damage in its ecosystem, during the fires).

Thank you for looking.
