Photographer's Note
This is small church under castro on Sifnos Island!
It looks like sailing out into far away sea...

Bardzo fajnie skomponowany kadr, podoba mi sie jak shodki prowadzą widza do kościółka...i ta postac siedząca na murku...a wszystko kilkanaście metrów nad pozimem pięknego ciemnego morza.

Hi Elz. Very nice shot. Liked in totality. The blue dome on white -- the dark colour of water with foamy ripples -- and the quietness of the entire place -- perhaps enjoyed by the lone woman sitting out there seems to be a total package of solitude. Regards.

Pozdrawiam serdecznie,

Hello Elzbieta,
A good composition of this beautiful little church. I like the downwards point of view and the sight of the sea down below the cliff. The person sat on the edge of the wall adds to the ambiance of the scene. Good colours and clarity.

Elzbieta,
a wonderful composition with the tight frame around the isolated little chapel surrounded by the sea. Lovely detail of that person sitting there and looking out for some sailing boat that we can't see. The dark blue, almost to dark, gives the impression of underexposure and is probably the result of that white chapel that made your camera meter the light in that way. I like it anyway!

Hi, Elzbieta. You've chosen a very good POV which overlooks the chapel and gives us the impression it is floating on the sea as you say in your note. The contrast between the white walls and the water works perfectly well and the person sitting on the wall scales the picture.

HI Elzbieta,
The dominant darkness, from which the small church emerges by spectacular contrast, is to me what makes its appeal, superb highlights !

Witaj, Elu.
Doskonala kompozycja z wysokim punktem widzenia. Najbardziej podob mi sie tutaj granatowe morze : z miniaturki wyglada jak bardzo ciemne niebo.

Hi Elzbieta!
Greta shot of this beautiful church. The pov is perfect showing all the space around it - it's very well situated, surrounded by the sea. The colours are very good.Isn't it a woman sitting on the wall?
I see it's already included in my theme :)

Hi Luka,
Ohhh.... when i was a kid my grand mom used to say stories and the story like this.
There was a king and queen,
One day, Queen kidnapped by demons,
Queen was kept aside of 7 seas, 7 deserts, 6 mountains.. 7th mountain top in a blue tomb,
King will travel to retain his queen.
you remembered me this shot and looks exactly the same :)

Hi Elzbieta!
Well executed, classical Greek postcard shot.
Being on Sifnos in October must be very nice, I guess. Its still warm, there are only few tourists, you have the beaches for your own, rooms are cheap and the locals are friendlier than during summer time.

Hi Elzbieta,
Great framing with the tiangles of land and sea; the tiny church stands out well against the turquoise sea. Greece is such a seafaing place and these little churches very much a part of the seaman's life.

Hello Elzbieta,
The priest of that church is extremely lucky. He is on top of the world. Excellent composition. The picture is underexposed but that's not necessarily bad as the highlights are rendered with fine detail. Well done. Regards,

The deep blue sea makes a perfect contrast to the white chapel out there E. I like the bird view in this setting combined with the offcentered placement of the main subject.

Hi Elzbieta,
This is an interesting church, especially for its architecture and location. There is good division of space and the white surfs remind us of the the water and the wide open space. I like this feeling of solitude and peace especially for a place of worship. Well done!!
Regards and a great holiday ahead.

Hello Elzbieta,
You excellently choose a great point of bird view. The wonderful blue of dome and Aegean is completes each other.
Your model helps to scale it your frame excellently.

A difficult exposure with so much contrast in the light, Elzbieta, but you've handled it well. Perfectly composed too from an excellent POV (I suppose you could have also composed this with the church in the top left, showing more of the rocky headland on which it stands - both would work well I think). Cheers . . . David
