Beginning of summer 2015...
...in Ano Syros (Greek: Άνω Σύρος, “Upper Syros”).
A town and a former municipality on the island of Syros, in the Cyclades.
I spent two beautiful days there,

I don't know if it just is the Greek light, pure and clean that makes all these structures look so pure and untouched! Love the drama of white against blue, the depth and the distinctive style of the dwelling well taken from a nice aspect, and this gives me a warm summer feeling. Great compo, remarkably executed. The alleyway is well captured - usually, it gets too dark in the inner alleys, but you have managed the light superbly here. Interesting perspective !

Un très bon cadrage vertical et ici les teintes de bleus s'associent parfaitement avec le blanc de l'architecture locale.Bien vue cette petite ruelle dans la composition.

A few years ago I posted an almost similar picture that I also took in Ano Syros.
I compared it with your picture but it is not the same alley.
Very beautiful blue-white combination.
The maze of alleys and small stairways is shown wonderfully.
Beautifully with the lanterns just under the arch.

πράγματι η Σύρος είναι πολύ όμορφη βλέποντας κάποιος το 'δείγμα' αυτό με την καταπληκτική παρουσίαση.Προσπάθησα τρεις φορές στο παρελθόν να πάω,αλλά όλο κάτι συνέβαινε και το τοξίδι ματαιωνόταν.Τέλος πάντων είναι μια πολύ ενδιαφέρουσα φωτογραφία με την διαχείρηση του φωτός ν΄αναδυκνύει την ομορφιά του στενοσόκακου.

This is the kind of picture that shows me somewhere I want to go and wander the streets for my own pictures. Very refreshing colours typical of the Kyklades. The contrast is just fantastic with nice lines and repeating patterns. Well captured and composed.

quelle iamge et vue quel blanc tout pur sueprbe cpatage avec la petire ruelle et son pavage cet escalier le bleu clair la barrière et au sommet une partie avec la cheminée encor plus blanche quel bel ensemble.
