I'm not usually one for beach holidays, but I suppose they do have certain attractions...

Even so, after a day or two lying around getting covered in sand, I'm usually ready to move on. That's what's great about a Greek island hopping trip; when you get bored you can jump on a ferry to the next island.
This is Mylopotas beach on the infamous island of Ios. It has a well deserved reputation as a party island, and is a great place to visit if you're between the ages of about 17 and 22 and enjoy vomiting in Irish pubs. Saying that, I did have a great time on earlier visits, but this time, at the grand old age of 27, I think I had outgrown that kind of scene.

Old habits die hard though, and as you can see, I chose my position on the beach very carefully...
