Photographer's Note
Another photo from Greece (although I wrote that Corinth Canal had to be the last one).
I realize that the quality is very poor. The weather was not good and it was difficult to find a good POV. But I show it because for me it is a masterpiece and it hasn't been shown here for some year. As you know, I love the bridges so seeing this was a great attraction for me.
The Rio–Antirrio Bridge (Greek: Γέφυρα Ρίου–Αντιρρίου), officially the Charilaos Trikoupis Bridge, is one of the world's longest multi-span cable-stayed bridges and longest of the fully suspended type. It crosses the Gulf of Corinth near Patras, linking the town of Rio on the Peloponnese peninsula to Antirrio on mainland Greece by road. It opened one day before the Athens 2004 Summer Olympics, on 12 August 2004, and was used to transport the Olympic flame.
The 2,380-metre-long bridge dramatically improves access to and from the Peloponnese.
The Rio–Antirrio Bridge deck might be considered the longest cable-stayed "suspended" deck in the world.
This bridge is widely considered to be an engineering masterpiece, owing to several solutions applied to span the difficult site. These difficulties include deep water, insecure materials for foundations, seismic activity, the probability of tsunamis, and the expansion of the Gulf of Corinth due to plate tectonics.

Ciao Malgo, the quality is still good despite the dark light and bad weather, not the first pic for this bridge there, but i like the original composition, the stormy moment and no one inside gives a special mood to the pic. Have a nice Sunday and thanks,Luciano

Hello Malgo,
Pleasant panorama view with brown foreground.
Again a nice view of the bridge in background.

An very well composition, nice presentation too.
Nice done, TFS.

Hi Malgo,
The distance between the beach and the bridge is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details of the Rio-Antirrio bridge. You have captured well the power of the sea. Have a nice day.

Hello Malgo,
The bridge is an interesting feature in the background, although we have seen closer and clearer views of it in some earlier photos. In this photo it's the obviously bad weather that makes the strongest impression. The cloudy sky, low light and strong wind make this look like late autumn, even though it was just after midsummer.
I must say that my immediate impression was that the photo is heavily tilted to the right, but when I check a very large version and look at the concrete pillars I realize they are perfectly straight. It's the distant shore that makes me so confused.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello Malgo, the weather seems to dominate the scene, but not in a bad way. The colours and the texture of the water all add to our overall impression of this part of Greece.
The bridge looks impressive even from this distance.
Informative notes, thank you.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hello Malgo,
It looks like quite a stormy day there, but you still got a good view along the beach towards the large bridge. The bluish layers of the mountains in the background look great as well.

Hello Malgo,
I've seen pictures of this bridge but I haven't seen it in reality.
This is due to the fact that I was only in this area in 1978... A bit too early :)
I find it a very beautiful bridge and would like to see it.
The beach is a bit less beautiful :) but that's not why you go to this place.
Did you cross it (on your way to Delfi perhaps)?
Best regards, Paul

Hi Malgo
Interesting rather than a great photo.
The bridge is new since I was in that region in 1998.
cheers

Hi Malgo,
Good composition with perspective effect with lines of the wave, perfect focal point with this bridge, good panoramic format, interesting even the weather and the light is not perfect, but it was like that ! Tfs.

Hello Malgo,
This attractive bridge is in a beautiful setting, and the whole scene would make a nice watercolor painting. :-) I like the earthy color of the ground; it's different than what we usually see next to rolling waves. To my eye, there is a slight tilt, and a blue tint, so I made a WS. :-) Take care!

this is a curious place once we know the canal is being opened around 2 centimeters by year. we had so much vistas of it, the bus tour stopped for only a minute in a not so special point.
take care

Hello Malgo,
Yes, I like this bridge, too, and i like the fact that the sea is choppy.
