He is deaf-mute since he was very little as a result of a children's illness.
A very clever man and excellent card player.
He likes to work hard and move all the time.
There are 3-4 persons only among the residents
who can communicate witth him.
He can …tell… stories and memories only with motivation of his face and hands.
He can rememper facts from world war II and the civil war with touching details.
Many times he has surprised us with his ability to realise things that everyone
would think that he couldn’t because he is deaf-mute.
For example he is able to ..hear..shouting his name when the postman brings the pensions in the village and all the resintents are in the coffeehouse and they wait to hear their name.
Perhaps he can read the lips.
He can imitate the voices of animals and the most add event I can rememper is while we were playing cards in a winter evening at the coffeehouse my grandfather Giannakis got out a while and when he in returned and tried to enter, the door stuck and couldn’t get in while none heard of him knocking, the deaf-mute man with the nickname BOUDOUF stood up indignant and went to open the door and let him in Boudouf
shouted to all of the rest that were deaf and couldn’t hear that my grandfather Giannakis knocking the door.
