Photographer's Note

A view of the channel separating Poros Island from the Peloponnese in the bg. Taken near the Clocktower, which dates from 1927. The island is between Aegina to the north and Hydra to the south, about 58 km south of the port of Athens at Piraeus.

Hello Chris,

This is a fine scenic view, across the sea and including a departing ferry boat, as well as long views to the mainland.
I love how you have used the f/g, with close, interesting details and a guide towards the m/g and the sea.
This is a good exposure, excellent dof and natural colours.

Hello Chris,
This is a part of the Aegean Sea I haven't seen at all. But the water looks as beautifully blue everywhere on sunny days in summer. This is a good point of view with the low stone wall occupying a part of the foreground and a generous view of the sea and a lot of mainly small boats. The larger boat that just left the port seems to be a ferry but with an unusual design. The photo has a fine clarity and very well saturated colours.

spectacular view! I like very much the colors with the alternating green and blue tones.
Again as in your previous upload it is so nice to see a fragment of the fortress in the foreground. The sea is so nicely decorated with numerous boats.

Beautiful high angle sea view. This looks so typically Greek. Good framing reveals lots of details from front to back. That passing boat has quite special design.

Hello Chris,
I once took a boat from Piraeus to Hydra and so sailed through this narrow channel. I've never visited Portos, but maybe I should have done that.
The composition is excellent and the view very attractive.
Beautiful with the many boats dotted in the blue Aegean.

A fantastic photo with wonderful, well-saturated colours. We get a clear view of the coastline with the distant mountains, the trees and the buildings in the foreground. The calm water is nicely dotted with small white boats.

I had few minutes to walk in this island. a pity. I liked this view with the boat as the main personage in movement and nice details of the area.
