Kythira V, a photo from Attiki, Attica

Photographer's Note

Similar to the first shot I loaded ages ago, except for the breaking wave. Kythira (Kithera) makes a pleasant half way stopover between Crete and Peloponnese. The boat leaves from Trachilos near Kissamos, to Antikythera then Diakofti, Kythira, and then travels from Kythira to Neopolis. I think I had a bunk bed for the overnight voyage. The section from Kythira to Neopolis was in daylight hours.

A lovely summer picture with the sand beach with a few swimmers

Hello Chris,
This looks like a fairly ideal beach, long and sandy and not crowded. Maybe it was early in the day, before the crowds arrived. On the other hand Kythira seems to be off the major package tours tracks, so maybe it rarely gets too crowded. You timed the breaking wave well and captured beautiful colours.

Bonjour Chris,

Tu as bien capturé l'arrivée des vagues sur la plage. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails de la plage et des montagnes en arrière-plan. J'apprécie les différentes teintes de couleurs de l'eau. Bonne journée.

Hello Chris,

Who could not be tempted by the colour and the clarity of that sea! The reflecting light makes it look like coloured glass! It's beautiful!
The nearly empty beach and the surrounding, uncluttered scenery makes this look a very inviting place for most of us, who avoid crowded beaches.

Hi Chris,
Lovely shot of this almost empty beach on a sparsely populated island. You are right on the waterline, and breaking of that small wave looks good. I also like play of light on shallow water.

A beautiful and idyllic view along the coastline with the sandy beach and the crystal clear water. The gentle slopes of the hills make a very appealing backdrop also. Makes one long for a nice summer holiday.

We can well say that this is a wonderful virgin beach, with spectacular transparent water, four or five buildings and nothing else, ideal for resting.
Excellent sharpness and splendid light.

P.S. The interior of the Romanian churches are very difficult to photograph, since almost all of them are in semi-darkness, also in many they do not allow taking photos, they suffer .....

Beautiful beach - and what a great place to have to yourself. That crystal clear turquoise water makes a lovely contrast to the softer colours and they have hardly anyone on them..

the slopes are almost part of a desert.very arid and nude and nice contrast with the clear waters. so many corners to discover in greece..
