Photographer's Note

The Alpsee is a lake in the Ostallgäu district Bavaria, Germany, located about 4 kilometres southeast of Füssen near the castles Neuschwanstein and Schloss Hohenschwangau.

The lake has just under five kilometres of shoreline and a depth of up to 62 metres. It is a popular tourist attraction, given its proximity to the castles and the wild swans that inhabit the lake. Boats are available for rent and there is a wide variety of hiking trails in the vicinity.

It looks like a black and white image, this nicely captured winter landscape.

We had the first warm springday today and you post this cold winterview...brrrrrrrrr
But I like the composition a lot with the small trees at both sides and the view at this lake.Very nice blueish tones and nice reflections.I`ve been ther about 30 years ago,but I remember this place and wonderful landscape very well.

You capture the typical winter atmosphere very well!
The almost colourless landscape and the low light...
A well balanced composition, where the view is nicely framed by the naked trees, a fine reflection and the image has this fine feeling of depth!

I'd thought we had put winter behind us ;-) Seriously though, a lovely winter's landscape with an appealing symmetry to it. The detail is excellent enabling us to appreciate the snow on the distant branches of the fir trees. A very good range of tones, in waht could almost pas as a black and white image.

close to a monochromatic impression and the soft colour parts work fine in that. The line of the hills starting in the left upper corner with the line of the bank starting in the left lower one -> great! A wonderful winter impression, very good.

beautiful winter scene, I like a lot how the almost total absence of colours emphasises the elaborate textures and nicely focuses attention on the excellent way you have composed the photo. smart use of reflections to double the effect of the snow-filled trees, and the branches in the foreground create a strong sense of depth. excellent work!

¿Que tal estás tan despeinada? A parte de la simpatia de Mafalda me gustaba más la otra foto. Hablando de fotos, esta tan blanca de Bavaria es preciosa y a pesar del frio que debía hacer no te tembló para nada el pulso por que la definición del paisaje es muy buena.

Vas mezclando playa y montaña, calor y frio, vamos a coger un resfriado de aupa.

Muy buena foto con una escena de invierno preciosa, tiene un ligero tono azul que le va muy bien, lindo reflejo en el lago. Ya aquí en Santo Domingo esta entrando un poco de calor, se nos fueron los días frescos de los primeros meses del año.
