Photographer's Note
RÜDESHEIM AM RHEIN is a German winemaking town in the Rhine Gorge, and part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site in this region.
It is known for its local whine and there are lots of places to sample it.
Rûdesheim is also home to the rather quirky Siegfrieds Mechanisches Musikkabinett, a museum for mechanical musical instruments, which we absolutely adored!
---
The BOOSENBURG is a lowland castle in Rüdesheim am Rhein, dating back to the 12th century. It is locally known as Oberburg (upper castle) in relation to the near and slightly lower Brömserburg.
The castle has belonged to a winery, Weinkellerei Carl Jung, from 1938. The musical family has arranged several chamber and jazz music concerts in their residence.
It was (is) not really open for public, so this was shot from the the gate at the streetside.

Hello Benny ,
I love postcards , and this one is a wonderful one , even this is not usual from you. The elegant little cloud is the cherry on the cake.

Hi Benny
The roses make for an attractive foreground for the charming buildings in the distance and the path leads the eye towards the middle of the image. The cloud is indeed the icing on the cake.
You keep reminding me how beautiful our continent is (says she, during a trip to Greece... :).
Best wishes
Kasia

Hallo Benny,

Very nice as the cloud does balance the scene. What a sweet place to live - nice gardens and quaint buildings and homes. I bet their wines are quite good. TFS

Hi Benny,
Nice view with a good perspective given by the alley in the Fg, interesting architecture with this tower, pleasant sun light well captured, photogenic detail in the blue sky with this lonely white cloud, tfs.

Hello Benny.
I am sure that the museum was nice to visit. Wonderful view of the small castle and the vineyards around it. Charming row of colourful roses. The pat leads eye to the white building at the end of it. Excellent perspective, marvellous colours.
Best regards MAlgo

Hallo Benny,
Vele groeten, Paul

Hello Benny,
I remember visiting this town when on a Rhine Cruise. I remember it having steep streets and a museum of automated musical instruments.
You chose an excellent viewpoint, with a fine lead line, edged with attractive roses, to the well placed buildings.
The exposure is excellent, with rich colours.
Your title was apt and fun.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)
