Holland in Germany

I’ll post some more photos from Hamburg and the Elbphilharmonie later, but I prefer to prepare them for upload on my desktop computer at home rather than the laptop I use when I’m travelling. So here is a photo from a different part of Germany, taken last Monday. It shows the Holländisches Viertel (Dutch Quarter) in Potsdam, the capital of the state of Brandenburg, located not far from Berlin. The quarter was built between 1733 and 1744 by Dutch architect Jan Bouman, who was employed Friedrich Wilhelm I of Prussia.
