Rathaus Reflections

Time for a more abstract photo again. It shows the 112-metre tall tower of the Hamburg City Hall (Hamburger Rathaus) in the slowly moving water of the narrow Alsterfleet. Check this photo I posted more than a year ago, if you want to get a clearer picture of the tower: https://www.trekearth.com/gallery/Europe/Germany/West/Hamburg//photo1570540.htm.

The Hamburger Rathaus is the seat of the local government and located in the old town at the Rathausmarkt square. It was built between 1886 and 1897 in neo-renaissance style, replacing the former city hall, which had been destroyed in the Great Fire of Hamburg in 1842.
