Photographer's Note
The capture's subject is apparent.
Dornier was a German aircraft company which was successful on several fields from 1917 until 2004.
Among the best known types before WW II are several sea planes, starring the 12-engine Dornier Do X from 1929 with up to 159 passengers, a record not surpassed before the Lockheed Super Constellation showed up.
Dornier was important in military aviation after 1955, bringing German post-war aircraft production back into existence. A special highlight was the military VTOL jet transporter Do 31, designed as combat zone transporter for 36 fully equipped soldiers. The project was cancelled early, though even the NASA regarded the aircraft as "convincingly positive".
Dornier Museum is situated at Friedrichshafen Airport FDH and shows many interesting exhibits from the company's long history.
@ikeharel: I did try to avoid the lamppost, but would have had to turn right by almost 90 degrees to get completely rid of it, at the price of losing the fine building. Which I did not want to pay.

One meter to right side, Sven, and you could avoid the lamp-pole.
Nonetheless, a fine aircraft picture, clear and distinct.
Please show more from this museum.

Ike

Hi Sven,
It is a wonderful museum which demonstrates well how important Dornier was in the field of aviation, especially in the earlier days. Also this experimental aircraft outside the building is very impressive. Your angle is excellent, showing both the aircraft and the museum. In fact I have a photo with the same theme, but so far I haven't uploaded it to TE.
