Photographer's Note
This is part of the fountain in front of the White [email protected] that is called The Marriage Carousel and based on a poem by Hans Sachs that he titled The bittersweet conjugal life. He dedicated the poem to his wife. Sachs describes their quarrels, her bickering, his affections and the sweet moments they share.
Gott sei gelobet und geehrt
der mir ein frumb Weib hat beschert
Mir der ich zwei und zweinzig Jahr
gehaust hab, Gott gab länger gar
Wiewohl sich in mein ehlig Leben
had Süß und Saures oft begeben
God be praised and honoured
who has given me a god-fearing wife
with whom I have lived for twenty-two years
God gave me (?) even longer
Although in my married life
both sweet and sour have often happened
'My wife' is heaven and hell, devil and angel, peace and strife.

Hans Sachs amca Wagner'in Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg adlı operasının baş karakteri olur, şehrin simgesidir, bildiğim kadarıyla bir de heykeli olmalı oralarda.
Bu heykeldeki öpüşken barok tipler şirin gözüküyor ama benim ekranda karanlıklar, görmek epey zor. Keşke kurukafayı çekebilseydin, memento morilerime kardeş gelirdi.
Foto yüklediğine göre kürkçüye geri döndün. Velkam bek...
