Reflecting Science

Another, but completely different, reflection photo from Lindau. This sphere is part of the Lindau Science Trail (Lindauer Wissenspfad) and also included a sign with information about some physics subject I didn’t understand. The trail celebrates the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings, in which Nobel laureates meet young scientists (its website says that Lindau is, after Stockholm, the city with “the highest number of Nobel Prize winners among its guests”.

The sphere reflects the Bodensee (Lake Constance) and one of the many marinas around the island of Lindau.

Interesantan i lep pogled, dobar tekst ...
Lep reefleks, dobro pokazano sa lepim bojama i kontartsom.
Dobra ideja i realizacija lepom fotografijom.
Dobar tekst o koriscenoj tehnici i elementima snimka.
Lep deo jezera i jahte u refleksu sfere.

Hi Lars, I haven't heard about these Nobel Prize winners meetings and this Science trail. Very interesting. I have found that more than 400 Nobel winners visited Lindau. Good composition and in the large format we can spot the photographer.

Du kanske inte får Nobelpriset, men du kanske kan få ett fotopris för den här bilden. Det är en originell spegelbild med en fin vy över marinan. Det var först när jag tittade på den förstorade versionen som jag hittade dig där nere vid vattnet, och kanske var det din far som stod där i närheten. Närmast spegeln ser jag andra, okända personer.
En kul bild med mycket att upptäcka.

Hello Lars, another of your favourite themes, mirrors and their reflections.
This reflection gives us a view of the lake with many moored boats.
I like the blurred background behind the mirror.

a nice view using this mirror in shape of a circle, creating a nice distorted view with the sailing boats ahead. nobel prize, as other ones, is not righteous in many aspects, many giants never got it and many small personages got.

Hallo Lars,
De vervormingen in het spiegelbeeld zijn slechts zichtbaar wanneer we naar de vergrote foto kijken. Op normaal formaat lijkt het een perfect spiegelbeeld te zijn.
Wanneer je in je woonplaats alle nog levende Nobelprijswinnaars uitnodigt, kan je gemeente op zijn website ook prat gaan op het feit dat het na Stockholm en Lindau het hoogste aantal winnaars op bezoek gehad heeft :)

You are always able to find some mirrors which allow you to take interesting reflections. I must copy this idea :)
